Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters to us. This Privacy Policy explains what data Basely — AI Personal Database(“Basely”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) collects when you use our iOS application (App Store ID: 6745350750), how that data is used, who it may be shared with, and what rights you have over your information.

By using Basely, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of data directly from you as you use the app:

1.1 Account Information

When you create a Basely account, we collect your email address. This is handled through Supabase Auth and is used solely for account creation, login, and account-related communications.

1.2 User-Created Content

Basely is a personal database app. The content you create inside the app — including database names, field definitions, and the records you add — is stored in two places:

Locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework.
In the cloud via Supabase, so your data syncs across devices and is backed up securely.

1.3 AI Feature Inputs

When you use Basely's AI features (such as asking questions about your data in plain English), the following information is sent to Anthropic (the provider of the Claude AI model) in order to generate a response:

The question or prompt you typed
Your database name and field structure (schema)
The records stored in the relevant database

This data is transmitted to Anthropic solely to process your request and return an AI-generated response. It is not used to train Anthropic's models and is governed by Anthropic's Privacy Policy.

You can disable AI features at any time by going to Settings → Privacy inside the app. When AI features are disabled, no data is sent to Anthropic.

2. How We Use Your Information

To create and manage your Basely account.
To store and sync your personal databases across devices.
To process your AI queries and return relevant responses (only when AI features are enabled).
To manage your subscription and in-app purchases.
To respond to support requests sent to basely@evtsoy.com.

We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or track you across other apps or websites.

3. Third-Party Services

Basely uses the following third-party services. Each service has its own privacy policy that governs how they handle data:

3.1 Supabase

We use Supabase (supabase.com) for backend infrastructure, user authentication, and cloud storage of your databases. Your email address and user-created content are stored on Supabase's servers.

3.2 Anthropic (Claude AI)

We use Anthropic's Claude API (claude.ai) to power AI features inside Basely. As described in Section 1.3, your prompts, database schema, and records are sent to Anthropic when you use these features.

3.3 RevenueCat

We use RevenueCat (revenuecat.com) to manage in-app purchases and subscriptions. RevenueCat may collect information related to your purchase history and subscription status.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account data and user-created databases for as long as your account remains active. If you delete your account (see Section 5), your data is permanently removed from our systems and from Supabase within a reasonable timeframe.

5. Your Rights and Data Deletion

You have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data directly within the app:

Go to Settings → Delete Account inside the Basely app.

This will remove your account, email address, and all user-created databases from our servers. If you have trouble accessing this feature or have additional data requests, contact us at basely@evtsoy.com.

Depending on your jurisdiction (e.g. EU/GDPR, California/CCPA), you may also have the right to data portability or to restrict certain processing. Contact us to exercise these rights.

6. Children's Privacy

Basely is not directed to individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately and we will delete it promptly.

7. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to protect your data, including encrypted transit (HTTPS/TLS) for all data sent to and from Supabase and Anthropic. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you (for example, via an in-app notice). Continued use of Basely after an update constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
