Any database connection credentials you enter into Basely (such as hostnames, usernames, and passwords) are stored exclusively in the macOS system Keychain on your device. We do not transmit, store, or have any access to your credentials or database contents.

1.3 Usage Data

Basely may collect anonymised, aggregated usage analytics (such as feature usage frequency and crash reports) to help us improve the application. This data does not include any personally identifiable information, query results, or database contents.

2. How We Use Information

• To improve the reliability and performance of the Basely application.
• To diagnose and fix technical issues via anonymised crash reports.

3. Data Storage and Security

Basely is a local-first application. Your database credentials and query data remain on your device at all times. We use the macOS Keychain for secure credential storage, which benefits from Apple's industry-standard hardware and software encryption.

We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect any information we do handle. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.

4. Third-Party Services

Basely may integrate with third-party database providers such as Supabase. When you connect to these services, their own privacy policies apply to the data exchanged between your device and their servers. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party services.

5. Children's Privacy

Basely is not directed to individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, please contact us immediately.
